Gorgeous Marquis shaped with a point bottom semi precious stone black Tourmaline in a optically clear Quartz designer cabochon 83 mm (3.25 inches!) by 16 mm wide and 11 mm thick.
These cabochons have some natural surface flaws from the black tourmaline needles emerging, and they are flat with very slight domes on both side.
Tourmaline Quartz, a semi-precious stone also known as Tourmalined Quartz or Tourmalinated Quartz, is a variety of Quartz that can be anywhere from opaque milky white to optically transparent or clear, with naturally occurring fine needle-like inclusions of Black Tourmaline.
Though found all over the world, most Tourmalinated Quartz, and our lapidary cabochon material, is mined in Minas Gerais, Brazil.
