Do gold, silver and other metals have metaphysical healing powers?
We all know about the metaphysical powers of crystals and stones, but did you know that metals; such as gold and silver, are in fact minerals and they also have healing powers?
First off, how are metal ores considered a mineral? Well, minerals are materials that meet five requirements. They must be naturally occurring, inorganic, solids, have a definite chemical composition, and an ordered internal structure. Generally, if a mineral contains metal that is valuable enough to be mined, it is called an ore.
Although more than 2,800 mineral species have been identified, only about 100 are considered ores. Among these are hematite, magnetite, limonite, and siderite, which are the principal sources of iron; chalcopyrite, bornite, and chalcocite, the principal sources of copper; and sphalerite and galena, the principal sources, respectively, of zinc and lead. Copper, molybdenum, and gold are commonly found in disseminated deposits—i.e., scattered more or less uniformly through a large volume of rock. Copper, lead, and zinc are frequently found in massive sulfide deposits. Metal ores are generally oxides, sulfides, silicates, or native metals.
Metal ores that are rare and have a high economic value are called precious metals.
Here is a list of some of the metal minerals and their healing powers:
Copper- Copper is not really considered a precious metal, but it is widely used in construction, plumbing and electrical. And it makes beautiful jewelry pieces! Copper is said to be helpful with emotional situations. Copper is believed to be good for the blood, and for healing after injury. Because Copper is a good conductor, it is believed it amplifies the healing powers of stones set in it.
Gold- is said to be helpful in overcoming fear and in enhancing mental facilities. It is believed it brings joy, optimism, and determination. When stones are set in gold, it is said that the gold will help stabilize the influence of the stone.
Platinum- has no healing powers alone, but it is believed it amplifies the energies of stones set in it.
Silver- is said to be good for women’s hormonal issues. It is also known as an antibacterial and antiviral substance and it is believed it can help fight infection. Silver is an excellent conduit for sending healing energies to a sick body.
Titanium- it is said titanium brings protection and security, especially from electromagnetic fields. It is also believed titanium helps boost energy levels, improves focus and concentration, and reduces fatigue.
Once again, I must make a disclaimer. I present this information for informational purposes only. I am not a metaphysical healer or a medical doctor and strongly suggest you follow your doctor’s medical advice.
However, just imagine if you had a strong healing stone and then set it in jewelry in one of the above metals. How powerful would the combined energies be?
