Oval shaped matched pair vibrant green and black semi precious gemstone Maw Sit Sit designer cabochons 15 mm by 12 mm and 4 mm thick.
These cabochons weigh about 6.5 carats each.
This one does have a slight flaw on the top edge in the second picture. It is more visible in the pictures than to the eye.
Vibrant and bright green, semi precious gemstone Maw Sit Sit cabochons can have black spots, or dark-green to black veining and sometimes white spots.
Maw-sit-sit has a hardness of 6 and makes very durable designer cabochons.
Maw-sit-sit is found in northwestern Myanmar (formally Burma). It was first identified by the late Dr. Eduard Gubelin in 1963 and named after the village close by.
