This trapezoid shaped Korite Boulder Opal drilled stone bead pendant has a small Opal in it.
The bead pendant is 40 mm long by 19 mm at its widest and 12 mm thick.
It is drilled with a 3.5 mm hole.
Opal is a hydrated amorphous form of silica, with a high water content. It occurs in the fissures of almost any kind of rock.
Opal’s flashing rainbow play-of-color is caused by diffraction of light by silica spheres stacked internally in the stone.
