Deschutes Picture Jasper comes from a little east of Biggs Junction, Oregon, near the Deschutes River. This semi precious gemstone picture jasper deposit is now located in a State Park and will never be mined again. Most of it is now under a highway!
Deschutes Jasper has a hardness of about 7 on the Moh's scale. Deschutes Jasper designer cabochons have a great polish and have great wearability.
