Triangle shaped gren and tan semiprecious stone Carrasite Picture Jasper designer cabochon 42.5 mm by 21 mm and 5.5 mm thick.
Carrasite Jasper is a nice porcelain gemstone jasper found in the same area in the Owyhee Mountains of Oregon/Idaho as the famous Morrisonite Jasper and it looks very similar to it.
Carrasite Jasper was found and therefore named for Charlie Carras who mined the site in the 1970’s.
The mine is currently owned and operated by Steve Schultz of Silver Streams.
