This one is natural rough rock on the back-not flat.
Azurite Malachite is a very popular semiprecious stone used for designer cabochons because of its unparalleled colors, a deep royal blue called "azure", hence its name Azurite, and a contrasting leafy green Malachite.
The word Azure is derived from the arabic word for blue. Malachite gets its name from the Greek, malache, "mallow" in reference to its green leaf color.
Azurite and Malachite are copper carbonates and our semi precious gemstone cabochons are from Morenci, Arizona.
Metaphysical Properties: Azurite is believed to stimulate intellect as well as intuition, and is great for those studying new or challenging subjects. It blends well with Malachite or other copper ores. Malachite is a protective stone, especially during pregnancy and childbirth, and during flying and other travel. Using this stone, one can counteract self-destructive romantic tendencies and help encourage true love.
