Product Description
Smaller oval shaped semiprecious gemstone chatoyant Arizona Pietersite or Arizona Tiger-eye matched pair designer cabochons 13 mm by 9 mm and 5.5 mm thick.
These matched pair for earrings cabochons weigh about 5.5 carats each.
These are backed with a thin layer of white plastic for stability.
This rare semiprecious stone material is known as "Arizona Pietersite" because of its superb chatoyant cat's eye effect. It has also been called Arizona Tiger-eye.
Cabochons cut from this material seem to glow with their own internal light.
This cabochon material is not the same as the original Pietersite found in Africa, or the different material also known as Pietersite found in China. This gemstone material is actually Serpentine and comes in several varieties-from gold to root beer to silver flash, and from green to brown Serpentine.
